Registered Massage Therapist/ Owner

Oooooo boy!!! Does anyone seriously like writing about themselves? Like what do you actually say haha.

Anyways... thank you for reading though my site and here are some fun facts about me and myself as a massage therapist.

Work Life:

I graduated from Wellington College in 2010 (it literally still floors me that I have been massaging for so long!!). I started my career working in a chiropractic clinic where I spent 7 years. While I was there I was privileged for 3 seasons working with our Junior B Lacrosse team spending my summers traveling and working with a sports team, was such a great experience. I have spent the last few years working in a "spa" setting. But I'm sure if you talked to my clientele Spa was not what they received.

Treatment is a passion of mine. I love when people come in with an area that has a limited range of motion, or some type of dysfunction that I can help treat, and improve their daily lives.

I have training and certifications in Hot Stone Therapy, Cupping, Sports Massage, Kinesiology Taping. Right now I am working on my Graston Technique Certifications.

Fun Random Facts:

  • I have a black belt in shotokan karate

  • I am a huge gym rat and even have recently received my personal training certifications

  • I am HUGE Disney nerd, so don't be surprised if a Disney song pops on during your massage session

  • I am an Independent Scentsy Consultant, so if fragrance is your thing I got you! And if its not please, please let me know and I will make sure I can give you as close to a scent free environment as possible

  • Eric (my husband) is  a HUGE Winnipeg Jets fan and I am a HUGE Anaheim Ducks fan, and when we were LITERALLY just starting to date they were playing each other in the playoffs....we've always said that if we can make it through that we can get through anything. (For the record the Ducks swept the Jets, not that I am bragging or anything)

Registered Massage Therapist

I graduated from Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies in June 2011. Over the years, I’ve gained diverse experience working in spas, massage clinics, and a physiotherapy office. It was during nearly seven years in the physiotherapy setting that I discovered my true passion for therapeutic and rehabilitation-focused massage. I’ve also had the opportunity to give back to the profession as a former instructor at Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapies.

As a massage therapist, I’m passionate about helping people achieve their treatment goals. A key part of my work is collaborating closely with clients and being an active member of their care team. I strongly value client autonomy and believe it's essential for individuals to be involved in shaping their own treatment plans. I enjoy working with a wide variety of people and conditions in my practice, and I have specialized training and certifications in mental health first aid, ASSIST suicide intervention training, manual lymphatic drainage (Levels 1 and 2), as well as palliative and oncology care. I particularly love treating soft tissue dysfunction and supporting symptom management for chronic conditions. The most rewarding part of my day is hearing how much better someone feels after a session or the things they can do that they couldn’t before their massage. I strive to blend therapeutic techniques with a calming, relaxing atmosphere, and I truly enjoy getting to know each of my clients and their story.

Fun facts about me;

  • Samantha and I met in year 1 of massage school and I was her maid of honour in her wedding.

  • I worked on a cruise ship at 19 years old between my two years of school. I also have a love for travel. I have travelled to 14 countries and have so many more on my list!

  • I have a passion for mental health and mental health awareness. I always want to be a person that someone can turn to if they need help or support.

  • I am a dog lover (okay...maybe a fanatic) and have 2 dogs of my own. One of my dogs is special needs and from up north. If you ever tell me you have a dog, don't be surprised if I ask to see pictures
